In October, 2024 the Harwich Affordable Housing Trust selected an organization through the Request for Proposal (RFP) process to work with in starting a rental assistance program to Harwich residents, people who work in Harwich, or have children in the Monomoy school district. The Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) program is a State program that provides short-term emergency funding to help with different emergency housing expenses such as eviction, foreclosure, loss of utilities, and more.

Whenever there is a deed restricted Affordable home for resale, it is posted on Housing Assistance Corporation's website. The best thing to do is fill out an application ahead of time and get ready to contact a lender once you see a home that you may be interested in.

Housing Rehabilitation Program

The Resource Inc. (TRI) is accepting applications for a Housing Rehabilitation Program that serves year round residents of Truro, Harwich, Eastham, and Provincetown. Homeowners can receive up to $50,000 in the form of a deferred, forgivable, zero0interest loan for health and safety repairs to their home. This includes roofing, siding, windows & doors, lead paint abatement, heating & septic systems, and more.
